This is a personal essay written when the United States began the invasion of Iraq in March 2003. At the same time, Christian Peacemaker Teams (with my brother as a member) sent in a small team to "wage peace" in the midst of the military show of "shock and awe." It was a time of anguish for many people, for many reasons. This was my attempt to come to terms with the upheaval of the time.en_US
